Step 1: Building the Grid

How to Play Minesweeper
Minesweeper is a logic puzzle game where you clear a minefield without detonating any mines.
Game Rules
- Left click on a cell to reveal what's underneath
- Right click on a cell to flag it as a potential mine
- Numbers indicate how many mines are adjacent to that cell
- Use the numbers as clues to deduce where mines are located
- The game is won when all non-mine cells are revealed
- The game is lost if you click on a mine
Difficulty Levels
- Easy (9x9): 9x9 grid with 10 mines - perfect for beginners
- Medium (16x16): 16x16 grid with 40 mines - intermediate challenge
- Hard (30x16): 30x16 grid with 99 mines - expert level difficulty
Scoring System
- Base score: 10 points per mine in the minefield
- Time bonus: Faster completion gives additional points
- Difficulty multiplier: Higher difficulties give more points
- Challenge yourself to beat your best time on each difficulty!
Strategy Tips
- Start with corners and edges - they have fewer adjacent cells
- Look for obvious patterns like 1-2-1 configurations
- Use the mine counter to track how many mines are left
- Flag suspected mines to avoid accidental clicks
- Think logically - every number is a clue that can help you
